Profilo

Romano Rotellini started his training as artisan, in 1952 in Florence, at the company Poggiali. The passion for this trade induced him to specialise and enrich his experience at the company of Fausto and Marini. In 1963 he was awarded the “Diploma d’Onore” by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. In 1989, together with other partners, he took over the artistic leather business Florentia. In 2001 he was appointed as Master Artisan. Florentia is a typical handicraft workshop where special antique style work is carried out, Luis style, and classical style for a wide range of objects like chests, trunks, picture frames, address books, boxes, office supplies, gaming tables. The different processes such as burnishing, welt wheeling, stamping and the coating are exclusively hand-made. The business uses a wide range of moulds to make the reproduction of renaissance and baroque works of art and a series of decorative patterns that are inserted on the objects with great mastery.
