In Claudio Pisapia's ceramic workshop, "Montis Pescalis", every product is entirely hand-made, using timeless traditional methods. Claudio's interest in experimenting with glazing and firing results in constant evolution in production techniques. Objects are normally made in grès, porcelain and a clay mixture for raku. Grès is principally used for sober and elegant tableware, which can be monochrome or decorated in various patterns. The porcelain, thrown on the wheel, is used for light and delicate unique objects. The raku technique, on the other hand, is used to create a large range of objects, including vases, bowls, picture-frames, wall plates, plaques and ornaments, suitable for traditional and modern interiors. In recent years, the many archaeological sites in the Maremma area have influenced the workshop, which has revisited Etruscan art using the raku technique. Collective exhibitions: "Le mille e una notte", Villa Benzi Zecchini, Caerano di S. Marco (Treviso, Italy) (2003); Artour project, Hotel Astoria, Florence (2006); Craft Gallery, Frankfurt (2006); Craft Gallery, International Exhibition of Craftsmanship, Fortezza da Basso, Florence (2006-2007).
