From September 23rd to the 25th, at Abbadia Isola Monteriggioni, along the Via Francigena Toscana, takes place the original Slow Travel Fest, a festival devoted to the culture of slow travel. It will be a three-day event when everyone is invited to slow down, to let go of the frantic rhythms of our daily routines and to discover this land and its beauties.
This is the right attitude to discover the rhythms and activities of the daily work of the artisans: time, accuracy, beauty, calm and lots of imagination are the ingredients needed to carry out the work in the artisans’ bottegas. ToscanaARTour presents an itinerary strolling around the Sienese countryside, especially in the areas around Monteriggioni, discovering how many local handicrafts are created. One of a kind jewels, textiles made on the handlooms, important artistic stained-glass windows that have been masterfully restored, artistic ceramics, original Eco-friendly cardboard objects, charcuterie and sheep’s milk cheeses and sweet and savory baked delicacies. In short, we offer the opportunity to take a journey in the beauty and the goodness of one of the most beautiful parts of Tuscany. You just have to go and discover the Bottegas. Have a great trip!
