The history of craftsmanship of Colle Val d’Elsa begins on a bright morning in 1400.
A demanding ray of light was in search of the most brilliant and transparent glass in the world.

It traveled for a long time without finding the perfect surface.
At the end it discovered, in an enchanted corner of Tuscany, the crystal shops and the glassware of Colle Val d’Elsa. Here it stayed for many years with the glassmakers and the thousand refractions of their lead crystal objects: goblets, pitchers and refined centerpieces. It also learned the techniques of glass grinding, blowing, carving and gilding of the glass.
