Campo del Monte

Campo del Monte is situated along the wine road called “Terre del Vino di Arezzo” in Valdarno Superiore, one hour drive from Florence and Siena and about 20 minutes from Arezzo. The area is particularly interesting from the Italian art point of view. Roman bridges, medieval churches, villages and castles are surrounded by wide pinewood forests, olive grooves and vineyards. It is said that these landscapes have inspired the settings of many masterpieces of such Italian artists as Piero della Francesca and Leonardo da Vinci.
In 1978 the Mantellinis have created “Campo del Monte”. The property is situated on top of a hill, at a height of 300 metres above sea level. It has been enlarged during the years to the present extension of 30 hectares. The family has developed viticulture and olive growing b- y planting respectively vineyards on 7,5 hectares and olives on about 3,30 hectares. The rest of the property is dedicated to hazelnuts cultivation and forest.
The cultivating techniques follows the method of organic agriculture. Nowadays among our high quality products there are: Olio extravergine di oliva, wines such as Chianti Riserva, Malvasia Bianca Lunga del Chianti, Supertuscany and Vin Santo del Chianti. Over the years the wines of “Campo del Monte” have received many recognitions and the Vin Santo “il Conio” it has been awarded as one of the best-sweet wines of the world.
