The Benvenuti company history is the story of three generations of silversmiths and craftsmen who, from 1930 to now, have passed on their skill, traditions and ideas which are still the basis of a production done entirely by hand. Osvaldo Benvenuti (1916-1970) started as a silversmith in the 1930’s, learning with enthusiasm in different workshops the various techniques of a craft which is truly an art, where every object made is the result of the skill and ability of the single craftsman. He founded his company, Benvenuti, in 1948, to exploit his experience acquired, specializing in the Florentine style of silverware. His output grew, but never lost sight of the craftsmanship of the product. In 1960, his son Gianni joined the firm, creating new and different collections, yet remaining faithful to a production based on craft and art. Today, the company is managed by Osvaldo Benvenuti’s grandsons, Massimiliano and Alessandro, who carry on the business with passion, respect for the Tuscan tradition and for Florentine artistic craftsmanship.
