In 1960 Marcello Galgani, when he was fourteen years old, undertook “the crystal’s cutter” trade. Since the first years his activity is carried out between mass production on behalf of a third party and restoration made in all directions: from the simple smoothing of a splintered glass’ mouth to the exact reproduction of an article or even to the complete restoration of old chandeliers and looking glasses. During the years, I have gained mastery and familiarity with techniques and shapes; as a consequence I have created a range of articles that preserve the freshness of crystal’s cuts and engravings, the light’s warmth and softness and the familiarity flavour of an old object that you have ever had in your house. Over eight years his son Lorenzo, who felled in love with this old trade as he was a young boy, is continuing this activity with me.
