Podere la Madia

Podere La Madia Farm is a farm located in the Upper Val d'Arno, in the province of Arezzo, on the Setteponti Ponente road, at the foot of the Pratomagno Massif. With about 10 hectares of land, of which 7 are olive groves and 3 are vineyards, we produce extra virgin olive oil and wines typical of our area.
Due to the terrain, our vineyards and olive groves are on terraces at various altitudes with southwest exposure. The farm is certified Organic and is a member of F.I.V.I. and F.I.V.I. Toscana.
Believing that our company should create its own harmonious and autonomous balance, without the use of fertilizers based on external components, we decided not to use animal-origin organic fertilizers, and every year, in different areas of the company depending on the need, we sow fava beans, lupine, alfalfa, clover, and vetch, as well as shred and return to the soil all the pruning branches from both the vines and the olive trees.
With this method, the soil becomes enriched with humus, comes back to life, fills with forms of life, and the plants use their roots to extract the nutrients they need for their growth.
At Podere La Madia, we offer tasting experiences designed to let you discover the true flavors of our land. Our guests can enjoy organic wines produced in our vineyards, accompanied by extra virgin olive oil and local specialties.
