Biagiotti Arte del Ferro was founded in the early 1900s by grandfather Alfredo who began working in iron and other metals, such as copper and brass, to meet new and varied market demand of the period. His son Mario enthusiastically took up the trade of metalworking and became specialised in artistic wrought iron. Today the company is made up of Mario, his three sons Alberto, Samuele and Alfredo and his grandson Giovanni who recently joined them, continuing the tradition of the art of metalworking. Their works are made entirely by hand in the old way, using fire and a hammer. They offer a vast range of iron objects designed by them for the home, as well as others that are exact reproductions of antique objects from past times, such as the Middle Ages or the Renaissance. They will take on special commissions on customer request.
