Oriano Mearini in 1978 started his own handicraft business by opening what is, still now, one of the first "new goldsmith workshops" of the city of Sansepolcro. His older daughter, Silvia, works with him; a tradition that is renewing in the continuity and that finds in the geometry and linearity of modern shapes new creativity and inspiration. Never get stuck in only one rhythm and in only one style, the goldsmith art of Oriano Mearini opens to all techniques that can visualise and concretise his own sources of inspiration. Lost wax precision casting, embossed or chisel etchings, use of hard stones and sparkles: each choice of work method and of precious material to be set, meets a mental project, which gets inspiration from the Renaissance tradition of the land of Piero della Francesca, as well as from the fundaments of current movements. A multiform play of lights, colours and lines, characterises each jewel that has in itself the value and the preciousness of the "unique piece", born from a consolidated style, but that is capable of renewing and re-proposing, in different shapes, knowledge without time.
