Lauraballa Studio d’Arte

Lauraballa is a painter and illustrator, she permanently exhibits inside her atelier in Prato and also does works on commission. Her enchanted world is made of pieces of mirror, colours, drawings and puppets, reflecting linguistic plays with a meaning and mix of poetry, emotions and fragments of transfigure reality. The universe of signs and of figures of the artist is the surrealist one of the fairy tale and of the story, animated by dreams, fears and desires, individual and collective. These figures always hide an apparent somewhere else, legitimised by the intelligible narration to children, but that talk to the heart and to the mind of adults. (G.Carrubba-independent art critic)
