Alessio Panichi's firm proposes manual work of stone that requires a close agreement between the idea and the shape of the material, between the intention and the creative action. The stonemason career of Alessio Panichi started in the 80’s, with his father, working stones for road paving, direct testimony of this art, carrying the secrets of a great craft nourished by handicraft application and high degree of passion. Specialising in road paving, the passion and the enthusiasm have lead the young stonemason to experiment new forms of expression, that would go beyond the production of pavements or sketches of cladding. This new expressive research is characterised by a classic-modern line, faithful to tradition and material in its simple, exact and compact shapes. Typical of this production are arches, entablatures, capitals, engravings, inscriptions, stairs, coats of arms and garden fountains. Alessio has worked in Siena, Casole d'Elsa, San Gimignano, in the Chianti region and in California.
