The Martellis are a family of pasta makers of old tradition; their artisan pasta shop is located in the town of Lari, at the centre of the Pisan hills, where the family produces, using traditional methods, pasta with hard wheat flour, in four different shapes: spaghetti, classic penne, spaghettini and Tuscan maccheroni.
The pasta is made with the best wheat flour both of Italian origin, cultivated in the fertile area of Maremma, and foreign origin, from Canada; this blend allows for a raw material with excellent characteristics, for both flavour and cooking. The Martelli family not only uses raw materials of excellent quality but instils in the work of its pasta the old wisdom of the artisan pasta makers, which is handed down even today in their pasta factory.
